Today (May 25, 2025) Denna Girl (XG1) and our newest herd buck, Valerian (TDF15), got together to make some fresh Champagnes! I’m so excited to see what the babies from this pairing will look like. It’s always exciting to bring a new rabbit into your rabbitry and see how they can improve your herd. He has 4 legs from shows (though he’s retired now), so he has a ton of great things going on. I think with his light coloration he will pair really well with Denna, as she is darker on her head and feet than I’d like. Denna also has a really strong ear base, so even if Valerian’s ear issue is genetic, I think her strong ear base will balance that out in the babies.
