I hope everyone is having a lovely fall!
I had two of my does kindle recently, Padme and Hart. Hart had a healthy litter of Champagne d’Argent babies born November 16, so they’re almost a week old and doing great! She was paired with Valerian this time, and I’m excited to see what this pairing will produce.
Padme was a bit of a special case this time. I first paired her with Adonis, my lovely Creme d’Argent buck. However, at the time, Adonis had just finished molting and I had been giving him a bit too many treats during that time when I was bothering him so much to brush him. I didn’t realize he had gotten a bit overweight. So, when it came time to breed, he acted finished after one fall-off. Since this was Padme’s first litter though, I decided to pair her with one of my Champagne bucks as well, just to ensure she had a successful first pregnancy. This way, I would know for sure who the father of the kits were as one of my Champagnes wouldn’t be able to produce a Creme-colored baby.
So, Padme was paired with both Adonis and King Dude. Dude is always a great breeder, so I knew that he would get the job done without issue.

Padme gave birth to 7 healthy kits on November 15. She gave birth to 2 Creme d’Argent kits, 4 kits that look like Champagne d’Argents, and 1 kit that is agouti-colored. The agouti-colored kit will be my first F1 Argente St. Hubert kit!
I am excited for both of the Creme babies, as well as growing out that St. Hubert kit to see how they look once they silver out. I will also plan to continue the Creme d’Argent color changing posts I had started with Cream Cake‘s first litter, but ended up not following through with due to other demands of life.
Stay tuned her and on TikTok for updates!
