Denna and Valerian’s first litter together are 10 weeks old now! We still have 3 of the 4 kits from this litter in the rabbitry. One of the does (Ear # DV4) has moved to a new home with my friend and barn partner (more information on my partner’s rabbitry coming in the future).

DV1 is growing out very nicely so far! He looks a lot like his father, which is a great thing! I will definitely be holding him back to see how he grows out. He will also be entered into a couple of shows this month, and I am hoping he will do well there! He has been named Bonnie, like the Five Nights at Freddy’s character.

DV2 has been the hardest out of all of her siblings to pose. I believe she may be a bit long in body like her mother, Denna, is. I’m still going to hang on to this doe and see how she grows! She has been named Tammy after my mom’s favorite horse from when she was young.

DV3 is definitely more of a mix of his two parents. He has Denna’s high point but he’s short in body like Valerian. I also find it so interesting how evenly he’s silvering out. Denna was like that when she was little, not patchy at all and just lightened up as she grew. He is a fine buck, and I think could place decently in show. I am not going to keep this buck long term (I don’t have room for them all) but he is available for sale for now!
Overall I have been really pleased with this litter so far. Denna and Valerian have been paired up again and we will get to see their next litter later this month!
