Here are some free resources to help you manage your own rabbitry!

Silver Sons’ Breeding Plans Chart

I use this chart all of the time to plan out my litters for the year! The due date, weaning date (6 weeks), 8 weeks date, and cull date (12 weeks) are all automatically generated by the spreadsheet based on the mating or birth date. This way, you are able to see and compare which does will be raising litters at the same time so you can ensure that you have space for everyone!

On my personal chart, I like to color-code my does as well so I can see at a glance when a particular doe is going to be bred next. I also like to bold the text of things that are set in stone for me. Either because they’ve literally already happened or because I’m just certain in my plan.

I have found this chart extremely useful in planning things for my rabbitry and I hope that you find it helpful too!

Silver Sons’ Breeding Doe Log

This is a chart that I keep for each of my does to be able to look back on each of their litters. It lets you see at a glance how many kits your doe has produced that you’ve kept, the sexes she’s produced with different bucks, and the number of kits that survive to weaning.

The due date is calculated at 31 days past the mating date, the weaning date is for 6 weeks, and the cull date is for 12 weeks.

I keep notes based on the age of the litter for my does. As you can see below, with Hart’s chart, there was an incident where the babies escaped the nest box earlier than I expected and I found one in trouble (don’t worry, he/she recovered). But I can note that here to have record of that in case one of the kits show an issue in the future, and I can see that it came up when the litter was 1 week 4 days old.

I hope that you find this helpful for keeping detailed records for your rabbitry. The record keeping aspect of running a rabbitry is one of my favorites and I would love for more to share what they do!

Silver Sons’ Rabbit Grow-out Chart

This chart is how I keep track of the weight of all of my rabbits who are currently growing up in the rabbitry. This helps me keep track of not only how much each individual rabbit weighs but also who I’m thinking of keeping in the herd, selling, or culling for meat. After a litter has reached their cull date and anyone who’s not fit for selling or keeping is processed, I print a copy of the sheet to keep in their dam’s record as well so I know how big her babies were (I manually write in weights for anyone I’m keeping from there).

The weights listed under each week heading are from the amazing MeatRabbits.org’s meat rabbit weight chart. The ones I have on the list are in pounds (lbs) but she has pounds and ounces, as well as a metric version, available on her website. The first weight is considered a good rate of growth, then a very good rate, and finally an excellent rate of growth. This way, you can see where your rabbits are performing at right away while you record their weights.

I’ve spoken highly about her YouTube channel in the past on my blog, but her website is just as helpful, and I’d highly recommend checking out her chart here: MeatRabbits.org Weight Chart / MeatRabbits.org METRIC Weight Chart

I hope that you find this weight tracker helpful as you raise your own rabbits!
